Anti-Wrinkle

Botulinum Toxin

At Ignite Aesthetics, Xeomin is used for anti-wrinkle treatments. Xeomin is free of unnecessary additives offering natural looking results with fewer risks of resistance over time. This is used to soften dynamic lines like the Frown, Forehead lines and around the eyes (Crows feet).

What is Botulinum Toxin?

It is a neurotoxin that is produced and sterilised in a lab. It has been used for many decades in the medical industry to treat multiple conditions. Commonly referred to as "Botox" (this is a brand name only). At Ignite Aesthetics i have chosen to use Xeomin. This is FDA approved for the use in the face, neck and underarms.

How does botulinum toxin work?

As it is injected in small amounts, it interrupts the normal process of neurotransmission, effectively blocking the nerve signals to control muscle activity. This causes the muscle to stop moving, relaxing the skin and decreasing the wrinkle effect.

How long will the effects take and how long does it last?

After treatment the Xeomin will start to work within 3-5 days. You will notice movement decreasing in the treatment area. At 14 days the treatment is at its peak effect. This is when a follow up appointment is paramount to ensure you are happy with the treatment. This allows us the opportunity to discuss how you are feeling and whether a "top up" is required.  The treatment result will last for 3 months.

Aftercare and information will be given & discussed so you leave feeling confident with the journey we have begun.

Prices : At Ignite Aesthetics I charge Xeomin by the unit - $16.00 per unit - the amount required will be determined & discussed at Consultation.

Please email with any questions-I am happy to guide you through this exciting journey. Tracey xx
